Mitch Bartlett received his Associates of Applied Science (A.A.S) in Interpreter Training from Johnson County Community College (JCCC) in 1995 with honors. He is certified in Kansas at a level 5/5 and maintains a Comprehensive Certification in Missouri; both of which are the top levels an interpreter can attain. Mitch is also a certified evaluator for the Kansas Quality Assurance Screening (KQAS.) Mitch is the founder and coordinator for the annual Deaf Night at the Royals charity event. He currently teaches American Sign Language/Deaf Culture classes in business settings on a weekly basis. He is a Practicum Lead for interpreting students in the KC area.
Randy Blankis was born to Deaf parents and has been interpreting ever since. Professionally, Randy has been interpreting for over 19 years. He is certified in Kansas at a level 5/5 and maintains a Comprehensive Certification in Missouri. He has presented on topics such as “Mental Health Interpreting” and “Deaf Culture.” Randy also has taught many classes on American Sign Language. He is currently and has been a Practicum Lead for interpreting students in the Kansas City area. Randy is an avid volunteer in the Deaf Community.
Debbee Beavers has been signing for over 34 years. What started as a learning game at the age of 2 with her deaf sister soon developed into a love of American Sign Language and the Deaf Community. In 1988, she began her professional interpreting career in Pennsylvania. In 2003, Debbee received her RID CI and CT certifications. She also maintains Advanced Certification in Missouri. Debbee has worked in all fields of interpreting including international interpreting. She has passed on her love of ASL through countless Sign Language classes and workshops. Debbee has recently completed Mentorship training and is currently an approved Mentor for the State of Kansas. She also serves as an Interpreting Lead for interpreting students in the Kansas City area. Debbee also spends alot of her time as a volunteer in the Deaf Comnmunity.
